Invention:
This invention is patented software developed for MATLAB capable of performing electrophysiological studies with human disease models.
Background:
Simulation studies aid with the advancement of cardiovascular research by complementing experimental studies. Current technologies have not utilized a proper recording method in their software. The software presented here is more accurate than competing technologies, like LabChart, and boasts novel use of recording data.
Applications:
- In-vivo animal models
- Validating phenotypes of genetically-modified animals
- Study of cardiotoxic effects of novel therapeutics
- Cardiac monitoring
- Pharmaceuticals
Advantages:
- Able to record and analyze potential in regard to monophasic action potentials and unipolar and bipolar voltage electrograms
- Interloping data into two-dimensional colormaps
- Capable of stimulating a chronotropic response or inducing arrhythmia
Status: issued U.S. patent #10,856,938
