Background:
Entanglement-assisted classical communication describes the process by which the properties of quantum entanglement (such as quantum teleportation and superdense coding) are used to assist in the transmission of traditional information (such as text).
This method of communication can be particularly valuable for applications where a high level of confidentiality is needed, especially where there may be a need to avoid revealing not just the contents of the communication, but also hide the fact that the communications exist at all (covert communication). It is particularly promising for use in communication in space (such as communication with distant satellites), ultra-sensitive military communications, or secure backbone networking for wireless carriers.
