Noninvasive Real-Time Patient-Specific Assessment of Stroke Severity

Case ID:
UA18-140
Invention:

This technology involves a method for obtaining information for use in determining stroke severity includes simulating, with a processor with a processor executing instructions stored on a computer readable medium, cerebral blood flow using as inputs information extracted from an angiography scan of the stroke patient and information concerning blood flow in cranial arteries.

Background:

The technology is a prediction tool that incorporates patient-specific factors and provides 3D maps of cerebral perfusion. Overall, this technology can improve patient outcomes.

  • Improve patient outcomes
  • quantification of stroke severity and tissue viability
